Photoshoot!
The waves been pretty fun in town so i called up our team and went for a photoshoot this morning. It was kindda last minute thing so Cole, Christian, Brice and Greg were the only ones who can make it but we had a great time!
7am session at Big Rights! Perfect low but not too low tide.
Cole's been ripping these days. It's amazing how he improved so much over this summer.
Christian adjusted to the new break (He hardly ever surfs here) really fast!

He's visiting Japan for a while soon so don't overwhelm him with orders tho cuz i just ordered my board from him and he needs to shape my board first!! ha ha
Greg's been a solid surfer for as long as i've known him. He's been adding some new moves to his powerful smooth surfing.

I was planning on shooting other team members in the afternoon but my "waterpoof" camcorder got flooded!! so i had to run around to figure out what to do... so i'll get the rest of the team some other time. sorry team.

Meet Sierra, Jenna and Heidi!
Jenna and Heidi were the Menehune Girls finalists at 25th Annual China Uemura's Longboard Surfing Classic. I asked them to co-host Novus Swell episode with me so I met them at the beach.
This day they were shortboarding with their friend Sierra. So Jenna and Heidi co-host the episode and Sierra helped me with the camera. For helping me out I hooked them up with BayVI shirts and stickers.

I got to meet Danny 'Maligs'!
Remeber the post about 2 weeks ago about Danny from Big Island?
well, i got to meet Danny last weekend.
I met him at 25th Annual China Uemura's Longboard Surfing Classic.
If you want to know what "Aloha" is all about, you gotta meet Danny. He's super kind and stoked to be surfing. I ended up talking stories with him for about an hour.
Thank you Danny for supporting us and it was really nice meeting you!

Morning photo session with Hana Harrison
We don't have many photos of our team rider Hana Harrison so I called her up and went for a quick photo session with her this morning.
The weather was perfect for our photo session.
Hana and I were in Cali last month for NSSA Nationals. She made it to quarter finals in both Explore Womens and Open Womens divisions.
I'm still editing videos from it so i'll post it as soon as i'm done.

Babies in the VI Family
Good morning to the crew. Been meaning to put up this post for a while now, but many congratulations
are due to TEAM_VI Gregg Naks and TEAM_VI Brice Yamashita for bringing two babies into this world!
(They had the same expected delivery date!)
TeamVI_Gregg, Kylee, and Kenzi. Representing BAYVI to the delivery room and all.
A more recent photo of Gregg and the baby bui. Getting em started young! Knowing Gregg's competitive
juices, I have no doubt the fire lives on in the little one. I'm afraid to play poker with this baby.

I couldn't find a photo of Brice and his newborn, but many congratulations to Brice as well!

Fight on MJ, Fight on...
This post is not about surfing. It is not about skating. But it is about inspiration and those who
inspire. There is no denying that Michael Jackson has been an iconic artist who has blazed a path
of creativity in art, music, and dance.
We watched him on TV growing up. We mimicked his moonwalk on the playground at school.
We watched him evolve. And we saw him continue to create and inspire throughout the years.
Those who have an appreciation for art and creativity are inspired by such icons. Whether you
appreciate art, music, graphic art, fashion, architecture, or just plain good design, you understand
that those who choose to create their own identity, their own rhythm, and their own sound
are an inspiration who deserve the utmost respect.
