Local Motion Surf Into Summer contest was held over the weekend and BayVI surf team riders did well!
This is the event every surfers look forward to every year, surfed by many of Hawaii's top surfers.
Kainoa Haas made the final in his division. He couldn't find a good back up wave in the final and came
in 6th, but was ripping out there all weekend.
Gregg Nakamura was surfing solid all weekend too and he WON his division! I think if he chose to be a
pro surfer, he could've easily done that. Yes, he is that good! He has a great job, wife and a daughter,
and surfs whenever he can find time. He is what BayVI is all about. He surfs because he loves to surf.
I must say Gregg had the best cheering section at the beach, his wife Kylee
and his 15 months old
daughter Kenzie! Gregg knew part of the reason he won was because of his cheering section, he carried
Kenzie with him to recieve his award. I think this was Kenzie's first win at a surf contest! ha ha. Kylee
told me Kenzie loves to be in the water, so i have a feeling she will be winning many more surf contests
in her future!
Full time husband, full time dad, and full time worker but still a pure full time surfer Gregg!
