Asita Recordings Cali Classics releases Ellay Khule -Rifleman b/w Knuckle Sandwich on Vinyl
Our good friends at Asita Recordings never cease to amaze. The characteristics of passionate
individuals are fascinating. It's the very reason why we started BAYVI. It's what drives our 'getting back
to BAYVI' theme, it's what drives the very core truths of our brand, and it's what drives who we are as
beings.
Artists Joe Dub, Lauren, and the folks at Asita Recordings epitomize an uncompromising dedication
towards passion. Whether they realize it or not, they are the very people who breathe their passions,
they think it, they feel it, and they dream it. And in turn, they inspire others around them to do the same.
Asita Recordings with Cali Classics, has now released Ellay Khule -Rifleman b/w Knuckle Sandwich
on vinyl. (Album Cover shown below). For $6, we suggest you help support.

From www.asitarecordings.com :
About the Artist:
Ellay Khule first honed his skills in the late eighties, at The Good
Life Cafe, a South Central LA based
open-mic workshop and healthfood
store. He is also an original member of the highly regarded Project
Blowed crew.Other renowned Project Blowed artists and groups include
Freestyle Fellowship, Abstract
Rude, Jurassic 5, Busdriver and 2Mex,
among others. Khule is credited with coining the term “Chop-Hop,”
a fast-tongue, machine gun style of rap pioneered and collectively used by
Project Blowed emcees.
Khule is featured in “This is the Life,” a feature-length documentary
by Ava DuVernay that explores the
racial, social and musical
implications of The Good Life Cafe, where Khule and crew literally held
court
through the early '90s. The film was named “Best Documentary” at
the 2008 Los Angeles Pan-African
Film Festival.

San Diego Tremors : VI_Kevin Whatley
Evening to the 6A Crew. How is everybody doing? Getting excited? We are. A few new projects that are
about to be debuted on this site, stay tuned!
The ground has been shaking down in San Diego. But from the likes of these photos, the ground isn't the
only thing that's been rumbling:

March Snow
From about a month ago, in March. Took an hour drive up to the mountains, just to get away from the city for a second. It was a nice change of pace. Made a few snowballs, sloshed around in the snow and watched the little kiddies slide down the hills with their sleds. 'Twas a good day.

Arcade BBQ Pt II
A week or so ago, we went over to our friend's house for a BBQ. Same BBQ as last year, where Ron dominated in old school Track And Field on Paul's arcade (the dominated part was a joke by the way).
It was a nice night and we were able to see old friends and meet a few new ones. Seemed like a lot of people we met, were from Hawaii. Somewhat of a comforting feeling, and plus, you can talk about things like fried rice and Zippys and reminisce about cruising Alas and Hawaiian Brians and they won't think you're crazy.
Anyway, thanks Aaron and Paul for the invite! Hopefully see you guys again soon.
Hope everyone is having a great week!
